Population and household projections

Project the growth of a region in Brazil

grafico_proj_site.png

How many additional households would form if recent demographic trends continue? What will be the population size in the near future?

Population and household projections are essential for planning in several areas, such as municipal management and municipal master plans. It helps us to know the future demand in a region for inputs such as water, electricity, garbage, urban transport, and even for housing and the real estate market. In addition, it provides fundamental information to strategize and map future target populations of companies.

No matter how much accurate data is sought for the future of a project or business, Brazil has few sources of data on populations. Official institutes such as IBGE and Fundação SEADE occasionally offer population projections, but these sources are quickly outdated or do not have the detail desired by the client (disaggregation by sex, age, race/color, rural/urban, region, etc.). With Noonly, the delivery of results is personalized!

Beyond that, in Brazil, there isn’t an official practice of household projections on a national level, and the few previous experiences are restricted by the numbers of households, not taking into account the distribution by age and sex, nor the size and composition of these future households.

For that, we developed a unique methodology according to the best international practices of household projections. Knowing how to research and interpret this information is crucial and to help you in this process, Noonly brings the service of measurement and analysis of population projections data, which provides a complete and reliable view of consumers and markets.
